A Beauty Queen And A Sextape

Its a delicate world we live in guys, and its getting more delicate by the moment. A world where pretty much everything we write or say, triggers an outrage and is sometimes depicted as either racist, or sexist, or “homo-sexist” or Homophobic, or politically motivated or something else. But the bottom line is that with every step you take, someone is always out there, feet out, just waiting for you to step on their toes!

Sorry guys, but I have been away for a while, because sometimes blogging (Not news recycling) actually requires that you take time out to explore and investigate your immediate environment. This way, you get to learn new stuff… And of course, some of us have to actually work too. Its not free keeping your site up, so it requires that we need to actually make some money etc, you get the idea. Bottom line is we are back and we are ready to roll :))

Guys who follow me regularly would understand that my stand on homosexuality is pretty much neutral. I don’t hate queers, but I simply see them as misguided individuals. Most importantly, I see them as people as well, misguided people. In my opinion, sexuality issues aside, they are as cool as the next guy, or girl. In other words, I am not homophobic but I am not really cool with the concept either.

A couple of days ago, a video emerged of someone, who was presumed to be the recently crowned Miss Anambra, Okeke Chidinma and another lady, “Miss Ada”, having sex… Oh, and a third cast too, a cucumber! Yup! You heard me right, a cucumber (Cucumis sativus). Simply put, a young lady who is supposed to be a role model to hundreds and thousands of Anambra ladies, was allegedly caught having sex on camera with another lady, and using a vegetable! Naughty!!

This is some pretty “amazing” stuff, of course, not in a good way. And naturally, Ms Okeke has taken to social media to debunk the claims that she was actually a cast in the said video. She had this to say, “My attention has been drawn to a concocted photograph/ video being circulated in the social media wherein my face was superimposed on an existing picture of persons engaging amorous conduct through the art of photo shopping. This act is perpetrated by hoodlums who are out to blackmail me or tarnish my image and promising career by presenting me in bad light. I wish to say that the said image is certainly not mine by any stretch of imagination”

Well, if this statement is true, the “blackmailers” must have gone through quite a great deal of trouble in getting this done and trying to tarnish this young damsel’s image, while earning nothing in the end.

I looked at some of the comments and I ended up with some really interesting views.

One guy said,”Well, this is very bad for Chidima. But can this act be the work of these Photoshop guys? If it is, she then if I were her I would just make some millions from this madness of theirs.” That’s a very intelligent point…This person encourages the Beauty Queen to make money from the raving controversy, which seems to be putting her image on the line. Wise words! Its like burning down your insured home, just to receive the insurance money! Close enough, get paid when your personality is on the line.

Another guy said, “…you cannot photoshop a video. Check the golden bangle you wore on the day you were made Miss Anambra, you still wore it in that video…..so what answer do you have for that?” In my opinion, this person believes there can never be two same bangles that look alike…After all, no one ever tried to mass produce bangles. I would have been satisfied with this guy’s opinion if he had made any reference to any distinguishable characters on her body because I don’t think I would be interested in drawing any hasty conclusions based on a piece of fashion item!

Now I know why some women buy cucumber always“, said another guy… Yeah, how smart! So, ladies now go to the market to get two sets of groceries! One for the family consumption and the other for sexual pleasure… Please join me in congratulating this guy for bringing this to the light and remind me never to eat a salad prepared by a lady anymore.

Then another person said, “WTF Just start acting porn movies and that cucumber is not that big use a bigger one“. Well, I am no expert in agriculture and neither am I a gynaecologist but the cucumber looks large enough to me… Perhaps, since we are in need of something larger, he might as well have suggested she tried a tuber of yam, since this is how far a cucumber could go in size.

There lots of comments around the internet and I want everyone to understand that there are two issues at stake here (If she was actually involved in this video) . First is the issue of her sexuality and then there is the issue of her privacy. I am interested in the latter.

I have always taken a personal stand against ladies taking and sharing their nude pictures with their boyfriends and vice versa. So you can guess my opinion on making sextapes. What happens behind closed doors should remain behind closed doors. Its certainly a shame when stuff that should remain private are exposed. Its always scandalous. Jennifer Lawrence, Rihanna, and lots of other American Celebs had their phones hacked at one time all had their phones hacked and their nudes went public… I still don’t understand why people never learn. Having your nudes taken or being part of a sex video means your business could be out there at anytime and then it becomes everybody’s business!

In my opinion, given enough pressure and lots of concentration, you can always pick holes in a story filled with lies. So let’s see what we have here. We have a young, beautiful, probably smart Ms Okeke, who earlier said that her “face was superimposed” on the said video, come out and say her “blackmailers” are threatening her life.

Honestly, I think blackmailers need a form of leverage over you, which in this case, we could say is this said video. So, how do you gain leverage over someone, when they are not the ones in the video? Oh! I remember, she said it was “Photoshopped”. Seriously, how did they succeed in getting your voice at the same time while they had your face moaning in pleasure?! How about your Personal Assistant/Friend Ada, was she photoshopped too?

In my opinion, all parties in this video were/are consenting adults and they were all aware that this video was being made but what Ms Okeke and “Ada” are unaware of is that they have just become victims of a crime called Revenge Porn! Revenge porn, also known as non-consensual pornography, is the distribution of one or more sexually explicit photos of someone else, without the subject’s permission. It carries a jail term too. I guess they won’t know this because girls don’t read anymore!

For those of you who don’t know, in Nigeria, “Homosexuality” has been illegal under federal law since 1901! Yep, It has been illegal even before the nation was conceived! And according to Wikipedia, “Both male and female same-sex sexual activity is illegal in Nigeria. The maximum punishment in the twelve northern states that have adopted Shari’a law is death by stoning. That law applies to all Muslims and to those who have voluntarily consented to application of the Shari’a courts. In southern Nigeria and under the secular criminal laws of northern Nigeria, the maximum punishment for same-sex sexual activity is 14 years’ imprisonment. The Same-Sex Marriage Prohibition Act criminalises all forms of same-sex unions and same-sex marriage throughout the country.”

Hi guys, its no longer news that the financial establishment, MMM in Zimbabwe has collapsed, going down with millions paid into the scheme by investors. Apparently, human beings are alway too lazy to investigate such financial schemes before getting involved. Here are a few facts about MMM.

Mavrodi Mondial Moneybox (AKA MMM) takes its name from its founder, Sergei Panteleevich Mavrodi of Russia (He was to Russia, what Jordan Belfort was to the US). He founded MMM in 1989 and the scheme was declared bankrupt three years later leading to the disappearance of Mavrodi until his arrest in 2003.

According to wikipedia, МММ was a Russian company that perpetrated one of the world’s largest Ponzi schemes of all time, in the 1990s.By different estimates from 5 to 40 million people lost up to $10 billion. The exact figures are not known even to the founders. The management started to count money in roomfuls (1 roomful of money, 2 roomfuls of money, etc).

It might surprise you to know that as we speak, more and more people are still getting involved in Nigeria. Some are even eager to go for the “training programmes”! When I visited their Nigerian website, I was greeted with a picture of Sergei Mavrodi. Then in the FAQ’s section, I found this;
“… MMM is absolutely legal and does not break any laws. Because there are only money transfers between private persons and nothing more.

MMM is a people community, which help each other for free, and absolutely consciously, they transfer money directly to each other, from one bank account to another, without any conditions, guarantees and promises.”

NO CONDITIONS, NO GUARANTEES AND NO PROMISES!! Call me paranoid but I believe this statement is self explanatory! The company isn’t even “promising” your back and there are no “guarantees” that you would get anything at all from this “unconditional” investment! This is absolutely ridiculous!

In the FAQ’s, I also found this “…MMM is a Global Mutual Aid Fund, World people’s Bank, Financial Social Network — or any definition whatsoever. The point is not in the title. The bottom line is that this is a voluntary informal association…”. The staff and management of MMM Nigeria put this on their website, probably because they couldn’t simply find the right words to explain their crappy scheme.

So what do these guys do with the money paid by their customers? Do they trade? Or do they lend out money to loan seekers at exorbitant rates? what do they do to earn interest for their customers? There is no insurance cover for this company, so how do investors get their money back if the company folds up tomorrow? Oh, I remember, “No Guarantees”! So you have no right to press for your capital if things go south!

My simple advise to anyone out there with plans of being part of this crappy scheme is to take a moment and think twice before making any payments. I always say,” No one gives you free money, you need to earn it one way or another.

Opinion: Indecent Dressing As A New Fashion Trend For Nigerian Ladies

Its no more news that “modernization” (Or Westernization) has reached Africa, but the question is, “Is Africa ready for “modernization”? I really can’t speak for the whole of Africa but I am quite sure I could speak on behalf of a few smart Nigerians. Today, let’s have a look at what “brand” of fashion, “modernization” has brought along, especially with the ladies. Let’s have a look at this trend. Does a lady really need to dress “indecently”, in order to be “trendy”?

Modernization brought along a whole lot of changes and for the love of all that is holy, “modernization” is still evolving, with new trends every day! I would explain: If you watch a 60s video (or magazine), you would notice its remarkably different from what you get when you watch an 80s video. While in the 60s, we were cool with Gilligan’s Island, we had to deal with Baywatch in the 80s. BAM!! Semi-Nudity hit us square in the face, right out of nowhere.

indecent dressing4

These days, it’s not unusual to find a girl half naked walking down the streets, or a lady bucket naked, having a drink in a party and dressed on something completely transparent. Sure, this is exactly how far we have come. “Fashion morality” is pretty much at its lowest ebb, for lack of a better word, maybe we should say “rock bottom”. Why would a woman just decide to step out in public, dressed in her birthday suit is certainly beyond reasoning.

In defence of this alarming trend, most ladies claim its “sexy”! I don’t get it, so some random bloke sees 90% of your titties and compliments you by saying, “You look gorgeous”… Who told you that you can’t look good if you dress properly! Thinking you look sexy by dressing half naked is a complete insult to your thinking and an abuse to women in general.

indecent dressing5

Trust me, no sane smart Nigerian guy would like to get married to a loose chick, let alone one who with an appalling reputation for her style of dressing, none. Even if they are blinded by what they see, the average Nigerian mother-in-law has got pretty keen eye sight… Perhaps too keen! So after years of indecent dressing and no husband, these girls wind up in some random church, fighting the devil for their callous mistakes.

The average man is born promiscuous and if a guy marries you strictly on the grounds that he sees lots of tits or your fanciful butt, then trust me, as soon as he sees a firmer pair of tits and tighter butt, your marriage might be Gone with the Wind! So you might want to do yourself a favour and start dressing decently, trust me, the right guy will come along.

indecent dressing3

There are also some who take it up a notch by taking photos of their cleavages and posting them over social media, just to attract petty attention or perhaps, a little more likes on Facebook on Instagram. In my opinion, you guys are the biggest losers. Trust me, you would get the likes, a few one night stands after a few bottles of champagne, but most likely with no spouse.

Let me remind you that anything that goes on the net, never really leaves the net. When you have these “semi-pornographic” pictures of yourself all over the web, some sick, deluded bloke would probably have them saved somewhere and even if you take them down, they have a funny way of showing up when you least expect. Hell, if Kim K’s porno clip is still available for download all over the web, who do you think you are?

Indecent dressing2

If some absurd friend tells you its all good and that its what’s hot in the society now, then you are probably keeping bad company. If you post semi-nude pictures of yourself on the internet, you are even worse than a stripper. Because, when you think of it, the stripper is probably grinding for tips, after all its her job. While you would be snapping half naked for “likes” and “compliments”. It’s not a job, so no one pays you, the stripper gets paid at the end of the day. So who is worse off?

The same goes out to every video vixen out there. If you are going to dress indecently and start shaking your booty on screen for the world to see, at least get paid properly for your shameful effort. However, the best you can actually hope for is to be some rich brat’s play thing. Like the lady trying to steal Musa from Sister Caro. I haven’t seen the tramp in a while!

One day, we might also talk about the guys who are thrilled by the disgusting act of having their trousers pulled down to reveal their ridiculous pairs of boxer shorts, as a trend and a basis for knowing how the average male’s self-esteem has reached its lowest ebb, for lack of a better word, maybe we should say “rock bottom”.

Nigeria isn’t ready for this kind of development, because there are still a lot of us whose parents once taught them how to tie our shoes straight and would like to pass on the virtues of good dressing to the next generation.

EFCC Charges 3 Companies Linked To Jonathan’s Ex-Aide Over Alleged N4.9bn Fraud

Nigeria And Christianity Inc.: A Multi Billion Dollar Business

“…Suffer, suffer for world, enjoy for heaven…”, these were the words of the great Afro Beat Legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti. He was referring to the luxurious lifestyles of our “religious leaders”, which was sustained at the expense of the common man. He wasn’t far from the truth. This piece is about the modern-day Nigerian Christian leadership.

The average African always wants something to believe in, an idol, a church, a mosque etc. and we see the Spiritual head of these religious institutions as the representative of the various Gods here on earth. They are above-board and any attempt to question their actions would be viewed as blasphemy.

The richest pastors in Africa are from Nigeria. They have amassed so much wealth that one often wonders if they are actually running a church or a profitable business organization. Their members display so much blind loyalty and any attempt to question the lifestyles of these “Men of God” would be shut down by them. One often wonders how the average Nigerian, who is obviously very good in questioning ingenuity, suddenly becomes so gullible when these “Men of God” are involved and swallow everything they are told, Hook, Line and Sinker.

How does one explain a situation where a “Man of God”, with no other known source of income, can afford a fleet of private jets. Yet, no one is bothered. If you are still not bothered, then how do you explain where a “Man of God”, builds a university (obviously using church funds) and sets the school fees too high, that the common man cannot afford?

Sometimes, they say they are involved in charity, but honestly how many churches have actually donated relief materials to the IDPs in the North East, since the start of the refugee crisis? Someone might say they do it anonymously but I seriously doubt this.

To make a complicated situation, even more complicated, we have lots of Nigerians who appear holy only in the church premises but as soon as the service is over, they break every available commandment and more. They would easily shock you with their actions.

Some churches would let you put on pretty much anything when coming to church. Sometimes, you would think they are headed to a club, and not to a church. I used to think that when entering into the House of God, one has to be in a state of Grace. I guess all that is old school now. Some guys even go all out to curl and perm their hair and bleach their skins, in a bid to look like their pastors. Why the hell not? When your pastor, bleaches and perms his hair, its only fair that we all fall in line!

Recently, a very prominent pastor got divorced! I don’t know if I am the only one wondering about this but I find it curious that a guy whose job is to join both man and woman as husband and wife, suddenly can’t keep his marriage intact. I thought he was supposed to be some kind of role model to his millions of followers? This might put some kind of question mark over the issue of marriages in his church, especially after their “spiritual leader”, couldn’t afford to save his marriage from a pretty messy divorce.

I really hope at some point Christians would start to look into their Pastors, “Objectively”. The Bible says that in the end times, false prophets shall arise. We all need to be aware of this and make sure that we aren’t just wasting our time and resources on the wrong altar. We have all seen videos of Pastors in Southern Africa do strange and horrible things, like command their congregation to eat grass. Only recently, we had the saga of Reverend King, who set his church members ablaze and is currently waiting on the hangman’s noose.

One blind man cannot lead another, we need to be sure that the person “leading us to christ” actually knows the way. This is not too much to ask.

FG Plans Death Sentence For Vandals In Arepo

The Federal Government, yesterday, spoke of plans to sponsor death penalty bill against vandals and others who attack critical national assets.

This came on a day military and police authorities opened up on the prosecution of Operation Awathe in the South Western Coast, promising to terminate activities of vandals and militants who have terrorised the people of the area and vandalised critical state assets.

Assistant Inspector General, AIG, Zone 2, comprising Lagos and Ogun states, Abdulmajeed Ali, who disclosed this in Lagos, described vandals operating in Arepo and environs as criminals who would be treated as such. This came as Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, ordered the destruction of boats, jerry cans and other facilities used and abandoned by suspected militants at Arepo area of the state.

Commenting on the military operation against Arepo vandals, Ali said: “Threats from pipeline vandals in Arepo area and its environs will soon be a thing of the past.” The Police boss, who spoke on resumption of duty in the Zone at Onikan in Lagos, said also that those operating at Arepo should not be called militants but hoodlums, stressing that plans are in top gear to advise government to sponsor a bill that will prescribe death penalty for the criminals. He said: “I do not consider those groups as militants. They are hoodlums. They are robbers, kidnappers in disguise. I have dealt with them before and I will continue to deal with them in their hideouts. We are trying to get the government prescribe capital punishment for them.

“I want to commend the Lagos State governor for the support given to the Nigeria Police. I was impressed with all the equipment supplied by the government. We shall continue to work in the two commands and ensure security. I will start by declaring my vision of things that I will like to address and things that I will not tolerate.

“The only thing that is constant in life is change and change is inevitable, we should expect changes in all ramifications. “It is crystal clear that based on the present security challenges in the two zones; there will be a need to have an overall policing strategy for effective security of lives and properties within the two zones.

“On issues of insecurity, I will continue to collaborate with the military and other security agencies, with a view to achieving the common goal. I detest terrorism, kidnapping, robbery and other vices. I consider them as murderers. I will also assure you that anyone caught in these acts will be brought to book.”

The military and police authorities, yesterday, opened up on the prosecution of Operation Wathe in the South Western Coast, promising to terminate activities of vandals and militants. This is evident in the continued bombardment of the criminal’s hideouts by government troops as what started like a one-off operation, last Thursday, continued with a mop-up, yesterday.

The ongoing operation involves Nigerian Navy, Air Force, Army, the Department of State Services, DSS, the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps and the Police. Deploying aerial and land arsenals, the military has dealt severe blow to the criminals that had long engaged in vices such as pipeline vandalism, robbery, murder, rape and kidnapping.

Although the troops rained more shelling on Ishawo, Igando and Igbolomu areas of Ikorodu in Lagos State, and Arepo, Awawa, Elepete and Ibafo in Ogun State on Sunday. yesterday’s operation was a kind of mop-up exercise since the surviving criminals were nowhere in sight.

The spokesman of the Defence Headquarters, Brigadier General Rabe Abubakar, assured that no innocent resident had been hit by the air raid. Abubakar said: “There is no way innocent persons would be hit because what we are doing is ‘precision attack on registered target or identified location’.

“No innocent Nigerian was hit. The attack is on the criminals who hide in the creeks. We are still carrying out the raid. We are not carrying out military attack on Ijaw. “We are carrying out the operation against criminals. We don’t tag them. Militants are militants. We don’t want to know if they are Hausa, Igbo or Yoruba. Our war is against pipeline vandals and oil thieves.”

Meantime, serenity, yesterday, pervaded the Iroko creeks and surrounding communities at Arepo area of Ogun State which had been a battle ground for the past few days, as the joint military taskforce, yesterday, secured the area after forcing the suspected oil pipeline vandals to retreat.

Vanguard gathered that some residents in the affected areas continued leaving their abode in large numbers to seek refuge elsewhere, pending the time total peace and tranquillity would be restored in the area. A source who preferred anonymity, said: “As we speak, report has it that the taskforce team has secured the entire area after forcing the vandals to retreat. “The superior fire power of the security team forced the vandals, who have earlier engaged in cross fire, to look for escape routes.

“The fully armed taskforce team is still on ground for the operation to further secure the area. We are on top of the situation.

“We, hereby, want to assure the people of the community not to panic as their lives and properties are well protected. We also urge them to go about their normal businesses without any fear whatsoever.”

It was, however, gathered that since the commencement of hostility between the taskforce team and vandals, there was no gun duel, yesterday, because the militants had gone into hiding. On Ikorodu Isawo area, security operation was reported to be on going at press time, as the entire area was said to be calm and quiet, even as residents continued to flee the area as well.

Amosun gave the order, yesterday, during an on-the-spot-assessment visit to the creeks in Ebute-Ojora, in Ibafo axis of Obafemi-Owode Local Government area of the state, which had hitherto been inhabited by militants and vandals. Amosun, who was shocked by hundreds of jerry cans found on the surface of the water in one of the creeks, ordered their immediate destruction.

He added that about 500 metres to the creeks would be cleared to open up the area, noting that the criminals with this development would no longer have a place to hide. The governor, however, pledged support for the federal government to sustain the peace which had been restored at the creeks in the state following the bombardment of the areas by the military.

It would be recalled that the military had launched offensive on the creeks at Arepo, Ogijo and Ibafo areas of the state, during which scores of suspected militants were killed. Amosun appealed to the federal government against untimely withdrawal of military personnel drafted to maintain peace in the six communities. The governor, who was received amidst jubilation and cheers by hundreds of residents, was accompanied by his deputy, Chief Yetunde Onanuga; top government functionaries and security chiefs in the state.

He said: “I want to appeal that we should not just leave this place like that. Yes, the criminals have run away for obvious reasons but we have what I call a force beyond theirs. You know ordinarily they will come here and commit all sorts of crime. “But when they saw the superior fire power of our military, they fled and that is why you see all these traces (abandoned jerry cans and boats.) They were well organised.

“We quickly want to implore that all these jerry cans should be destroyed, all their boats and all these things they used so that it will not be business as usual.

“There is still a lot to be done because now they’ve seen this and ran away, but something tells me that with what they have seen they ordinarily will not want to regroup but we never can say. Criminals will always be criminals. We should be ready for them.”
