YUF CRITICIZES BUHARI’S APPOINTMENTS

Bishop Bolanle Gbonigi, Chairman of the Yoruba Unity Forum (YUF), in Ibadan, has faulted the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, declaring that it was full of lopsided decisions designed to favor the northern part of Nigeria to the detriment of the southern part.

He also stated his support to those calling for implementation of the recommendations of the 2014 National Conference which supported the call for structural re-design of Nigeria, saying that it was imperative for Buhari to look into it.

In an address, Gbonigi condemned Buhari’s frequent travels abroad, modalities adopted to arrive at N145 per litre of petrol, the President’s response to the spread of Fulani herdsmen attack in the South and appointments made by the President since coming to office, saying that several indices pointed to poor economic performance under Buhari.

The meeting was also attended by Yoruba leaders like the Deputy Chairman of the association, Archbishop Ayo Ladigbolu; its Vice Chairman, Sen. Femi Okurounmu; and former Minister of Education, Prof. Tunde Adeniran.
